Gisele Bundchen Breastfeeding : Gisele Breastfeeding Law – Brazilian beauty Gisele Bundchen has sparked controversy with her strong views on the importance of breastfeeding.
The world famous supermodel recently interviewed for the UK edition of Harper’s Bazaar, stating that she believes there should be a global law that requires mothers to breastfeed their babies for the first 6 months of their lives. She was quoted as saying, “Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?”
Her comments have sparked outrage in some people and support from others. The new mother of one and wife of Tom Brady, New England Patriot’s quarterback, clarified her comments on her personal blog this week, stating “I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge. I believe that bringing a life into this world is the single most important thing a person can undertake and it can also be the most challenging.” And, “I think as mothers we are all trying to do our best.”
Gisele gave birth to her son in December 2009. This is her first child, and the second child for Tom Brady.
