The former girlfriend of Mel Gibson, Oksana Grigorieva has given a story that conflicts with the statement that her dentist gave. She has been claiming that she was struck in the mouth by Gibson, and that he knocked out two of her teeth in the attack. While she did go to the dentist, and she did have damage to her teeth, Dr. Ross Shelden said that he believes the evidence points not toward a punch in the mouth, but a punch in the head that forced her to close her mouth hard, breaking her teeth.
Sources familiar with his charts said that they saw no evidence stating that she had been struck in the mouth. The dentist, Dr. Ross Shelden however, did notice a giant bruise on her temple that could have been left by Gibson in the attack.
One veneer was completely knocked out and the other was damage. The chart states that her teeth were fully intact other than the damage to both veneers. It will be interesting to see how Oksana responds to the claims.
The doctor also noted two bite marks on her gums and lips that suggest that she had bitten down on her mouth very hard. This would be consistent with the story that the dentist gave and would make a lot of sense, given the evidence.
