Medical Marijuana Legal In Arizona: Prop 203 Passes – With many of the states across the U.S legalizing the medicinal use of marijuana, Arizona is the most recent state to jump on the bandwagon and join the rest that have legalized it for medicinal purposes only. This recent piece of legislation passed by a very narrow margin, and so far it seems as though many people who are in need of this form of treatment for various reasons are quite happy. Since the first state approved legalization of medicinal marijuana though, there have been a number of legal complications surrounding the issue.
There have been quite a few stories in the news regarding police officers who have arrested people who had a legal right to own and use medicinal marijuana, though officials say that this is something which isn’t going to be a problem in Arizona. It has become the fifteenth state to approve use of medicinal marijuana. California was the very first state to do it back in 1996 and since then there has been a total of thirteen other states that have done the exact same thing. Although a recent piece of legislation that would legalize the use of marijuana in California did not pass, it seems American’s views on this topic are becoming more and more liberal.
