Monsanto Artificial Hormones Ice Cream Controversy

There’s one title no company in the world wants, and that title is “World’s Most Hated Company”.
And that title goes to Monsanto, thanks to it’s genetically modified sugar beets.
The U.S. District Court Judge ruling that the USDA has to at the very least go through the motions regulating the company’s genetically engineered sugar beets.

Now, this company has it’s hands in a lot of industries, such as ice cream. Many people eat ice cream, we know it’s not too great for our weight, and to eat it in moderation,

The company has genetically engineered a bovine growth hormone, rBGH, which has shown to have extremely bad health effects for humans. Monsanto denies this completely, releasing the statement “no significant difference” in the milk derived from cows who have been dosed with the hormone compared to those who haven’t.

Many countries have banned this hormone, as it’s not actually that useful, and it’s just not good for anyone, in general. The cause of injecting this hormone into cows is the milk ends up contaminated with the IGF-1, which the European Commission’s authoritative international 16-member scientific committee has banned the hormone due to it’s harmful side affects on humans.
