Some Fat Women Think They Are Slim: Study

Some Fat Women Think They Are Slim: Study – A recent American study has revealed that many women who are overweight actually believe that they are slim. The study consisted of a series of questions directed at women regarding various things such as exercise habits, diet, and their overall size.

The study determined that many of the women who were surveyed were not aware that they were at an unhealthy weight. There is no doubt whatsoever that the numbers for obese Americans are on the rise, and this study is just one of the more recent pieces of evidence which confirms that a number of people have a somewhat distorted self-image.

Around 25 percent of the women who were questioned in this study have a distorted image of what they actually look like, misjudging their weight as well as 16 percent of women who have a normal body weight. The findings in this recent study were published in “Obstetrics and Gynecology”.

These findings reveal something very disturbing, according to a number of health officials who are concerned about obesity prevention. They say that if people do not realize that they are grossly overweight, it becomes difficult to improve their health by losing weight because they don’t think they need to.
